US involvement had game‐changing consequences in WW1. The day is the opportunity to put yourself in the footsteps of the boys who sacrificed their youth, and too often their lifes, in the defense of our freedom.
Being in the area of the Champagne appellation allow you to discover the making of this famous wine (option).

c 9:00 AM: Meeting with your driver-guide at Château-Thierry train station.

9:30 AM: Belleau Wood and Aisne-Marne Cemetery

Discover the monument that commemorates the involvment of the 4th Marine Brigade in the area. Since then, the wood is also know as the “wood of the Marine Brigade”. Trenches and relics of the war near the monument will help you to better understand the battle that lasted for most of June 1918. In the vicinity, the Aisne-Marne American Cemetery contains the graves of 2,289 war deads and its chapel’s walls act as a memorial of 1,060 names of the missing.

c 11:00 AM: Château-Thierry Monument

This monument, standing on Hill 204, immortalizes the achievements of American and French fighters before and during the Aisne-Marne and Oise-Aisne offensive
Option 1 (for the full crew) : Champagne : A taste of France
The Marne Valley is part of the Champagne appellation. Being in the area is the unique opportunity to discover and visit one of the few secular old houses of Champagne. After a tour in cellars dating back to the 12th century, enjoy a sparkling testing.

Way to Blérancourt

Depending on the available time, your driver-guide will bring you by typical and historical villages. Some of them having being rebuilt thanks to American donors after the Great War.

c 3:30 PM: The Franco-American Museum of Blerancourt

In a 17th century castle, founded by Anne Morgan in the place where the American Committee for Devastated France had its headquarters during WW1, this museum celebrates friendship and brotherhood between the American and the French People.

c 6:00 PM: Drop-off at Soissons train station

If time allows, panoramic city tour of the medieval town of Soissons. Drop-off at the train station.
