Day 1

Arrival in Cabourg by your own means.

Visit of the Villa of Time Regained: the brand new museum-house of Marcel Proust, in Cabourg

Viste Museum of the Merville Battery: A major work on the Atlantic Wall, the Merville Battery was a vital D-Day objective during the Normandy landings. The battery was neutralized by the 9th British Parachute Battalion on June 7, 1944 Today, on a preserved site of several hectares, the Merville Battery Museum offers you an educational trail, a visit to 4 bunkers converted into a museum and a visit to a Dakota, a mythical plane that took part in the Normandy landings.

Relive the neutralization of the battery thanks to a sound and light show in casemate n°1, which remained in its original state at dawn on June 6, 44.

Every 20 minutes, sounds, smells and lights plunge you into the socket of the Merville battery.
