Unusual escapade in Auxois

Arrival in Flavigny-sur-Ozerain.
Visit of the Anise factory, where all your senses will be captured, by the freshness of the anise perfume and its spicy touch, as well as by the invasive noise of the sweets rolling in the copper basins, of the Anise museum, two beautiful vaulted rooms of the abbey welcome the small museum where illustrations dating for some from 1828 are revealed.
Then discover the crypt of the Anis, a vestige of the former abbey church and a true testimony of the medieval period, Gallo-Roman, Romanesque and Gothic art are revealed in a handkerchief.

Continue with an exceptional evening in the heart of Fontenay Abbey for an atypical visit. Wander through the cloister, the scriptorium, the chapter house and the Abbey’s boiler room, all lit up with over 1000 candles.
Each of these spaces will be dressed in specific melodies, corresponding to the “Hours” of monastic life.
A vocal ensemble will offer its medieval songs and polyphony and Gregorian chants.
