Day 1
Tournus – Pont de Vaux – Romenay
Breakfast.
Departure for Tournus, arrival around 10:30 am.
Stop at the Saint-Philibert abbey.
Free time.
Continuation to Pont de Vaux and boarding for a lunch cruise.
A moment out of time to appreciate the green landscapes of Burgundy.
Return to Pont de Vaux at about 3 pm.
Continuation to Romenay, visit of a wine estate made up of a remarkable architectural ensemble composed of several buildings.
Go back in time and discover a Bresse interior from the past.
Drive to Chalon-sur-Saône.
Check-in at your hotel.
Dinner at the hotel. Accommodation.
Day 2
Cluny – Cormatin
Breakfast at the hotel.
Drive to Cluny and guided tour of the famous Benedictine abbey which had an influence throughout Europe during the Middle Ages.
The remains of the huge abbey church have been restored and rehabilitated in 2010.
The highest vaults in the Romanesque world still bear witness to this gigantism.
Lunch at the restaurant.
In the afternoon, drive to Cormatin.
Guided visit of the 17th century castle, home of the Marquis of Uxelles who wanted to show their power.
Free time in the sumptuous gardens, the vegetable garden, the boxwood labyrinth…
Continuation to Buxy by the wine route and stop for a tasting in a cellar.
