William the Conqueror was one of the famous figures of Normandy
It allows this region to be firmly anchored in history and thus preserve the richness of a heritage that has nothing to envy of its neighbors.
Normandy is a more private destination than others, and yet it is extraordinary. The Mont St Michel is certainly the spearhead, a source of pride. But we should not miss the other treasures that few travelers have yet discovered.
The Normandy coast is very varied, you just have to see its jagged cliffs like Étretat or rocky like Jobourg. Its seaside resorts are also very famous, Deauville for example. They extend the sites of the Second World War near Caen.
The countryside is also very different, a country of bocage, very bucolic like the Pays d’Auge or steeper like the Suisse Normande.
But in addition to its cultural heritage such as the abbeys of the Seine valley or the gardens of Monnet in Giverny, we must not forget that Normandy is also a land of gastronomy, in particular thanks to its famous cheeses.
So, shhh, don’t say it too loud, but you will soon be discovering Normandy !
