Day 1 – Arrival and check-in at your hotel in Strasbourg

Day 2 – Strasbourg and Alsace during the Second World War

The sightseeing boat tour with Batorama will allow you to discover Strasbourg from a different perspective and to see the district of the imperial Neustadt, the European institutions with the emblematic European Parliament.
Visit the historical city centre of Strasbourg, including the Cathedral of Strasbourg, the alleys of Petite France and its half-timbered houses.
Lunch at an authentic wine bar.
Guided tour of the European Centre on Resistance and Deportation, a World War II memorial. You will discover the historical vestiges of the only remaining Nazi concentration camp in France, the Natzweiller-Struthof camp.
Drop-off at your hotel.

Day 3 – The Franco-Prussian War and the European Construction

Guided tour of the European Parliament where you will be able to discover, in an interactive and entertaining way, the functioning of the institutions and enter the hemicycle where the debates and votes of the deputies are held.
Lunch.
Guided tour of the Schoenebourg Fort, the largest structure of the Maginot Line fully furnished with all its original features. Through the underground installations, you will discover the commander’s post, the battlefield and the soldiers’ living quarters.

Day 4 – The medival and wine past

Visit the Haut-Koenigsbourg castle : a fortified castle built in the 12th century and entirely restord by the German Emperor Wilhelm II. The castle is one of the symbols of the Alsatian heritage and a witness to the course of European history.
Visit of Riquewihr : Ranked among the « Most Beautiful Villages of France », also referred to as the “Pearl of the Alsace Wine Route”.
Lunch at Riquewihr in a winstub (traditional Alsacian restaurant)
Explore Colmar, Alsace’s wine capital, which has a unique historical and cultural heritage. You will enjoy strolling in the charming Little Venice area.
Drop-off at your hotel.
